The origins of an electrical engineer that designs 😂

Hey! This is Marian, 26 years old, currently living in Portugal since 2022. I’m originally from Romania and that’s where I started my graphic design journey. I graduated Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Energetics and Informatics Applied (TUIASI). I know, somehow is not related to what I’m doing now, but that “Informatics Applied” helped, because I really enjoyed programming, as result, my final project of bachelor degree was an mobile app – atletIS RUN. (9/10 is the grade I finished with). Let’s go back to when I discovered first time the graphic design world. Through my university years, I was volunteer at our faculty organization. There I organized and helped in many events for our students such as charity, trainings, festivals, parties, conferences, marathons etc.

Well, in those experiences I had the chance to do some materials like posters, entrance tickets, roll-ups, agendas, t-shirts, diplomas, flyers and also video editing. By doing that I slowly started to grow and enjoy designing. After 3 years, I became design volunteer ICB(Iasi Club de Biciclete), where I did the only magazine about cycling from Romania, designed kits and t-shirts for local and international competitions of atletIS. Moreover, I worked with ISSEDU during pandemic on a Virtual Reality Education program and after, I started my Erasmus+ journey which also got me the opportunity to grow on this field.
